		<description>Actually this answers the question at hand.  When the email arrives in the inbox it requests the reader of the email to accept the request to send back the receipt or not, only then will an email be sent back to the original sender.  Thus alerting you that the email has been read. So it does act as a &quot;Read&quot; receipt in that regard. You have to look at an email to initiate the receipt.  It doesn&#039;t have to simply arrive in the inbox.</description>

		<description>He asked for a read Receipt that&#039;s when it get&#039;s read.  The one thunderbird has is what usually called and delivery receipt and only tells you it got to the person inbox and not that it was read.</description>
