How can I protect my iPhone from scratches?

I’ve been saving up for months now and have just managed to buy an iPhone. I really want to take care of this lovely gadget and I’m afraid of scratching the screen as I use it. Is there any way I can protect it from scratches??

To tell you the truth, the screens on these devices tend to be really strong and shouldn’t get scratched; but if you want to make doubly sure there are a couple of things you can do.

One thing you can do is to get some screen protectors. For example, the iPhone 3G/3Gs Premium Screen Protectors are an ultra-thing self-adhesive sticker that attach themselves to the front of your screen. They protect your screen from any violent scratching that might damage the screen and just act as another barrier against possible damage. They’re currently on sale from Buy.com and cost only $4.50 for a 6-pack of protectors.

The other advice I can give you is not to leave it in your pocket together with your keys. Too many people like putting their phone in their back pocket, then sitting on it; or leaving it together with keys or other things that can scratch your device. A little bit of prevention can go a long way.
