How do I remove hyperlinks from Word?

Having copied a web address into a Word document it has been formatted as a hyperlink. I have tried to remove this by right-clicking on the link but all I get are the spelling options.

Word does not combine the different menus that can be shown on a right-click even if more than one is relevant. The spelling menu takes priority over the hyperlink menu so either click on part of the web link that does not have a wavy red underline or select the Ignore All option in the menu. You may also have to ignore the grammer warning before the Remove hyperlink option is shown.

This can be useful if you’re writing documents and want to include a link to, say an apidexin scam site; you certainly don’t want a link to that. So it’s quite useful to have an option to show or hide the link.
