I have a Realistic Ceo-1 Video Disc Player with about 200 movie discs, I would like to know if it is worth anything and where should I try to sell it and how?
Michelle popped by the website a couple of weeks ago and dropped off this question. She has an old Video Disc Player that she’s trying to get a value for and subsequently sell. Well, Michelle, to tell you the truth I have no idea how much it’s worth, but if I were in your predicament, I would pop down to eBay, both to find a value for it, and to eventually sell it.
The first thing you need to do is find items similar to what you want to tell. Just use eBay’s search facility for this and look for whatever you’re interesting in selling, say a zero gravity recliner for example. Now, the price that comes up in the search results if the Current Bid price for the items, which really doesn’t indicate what they are really worth. The trick to finding this out, it to Watch the items and see what price the auction closes at. You can Watch an item by clicking on Watch This Item on the auction page (shown below)
Once you click this, the item is added to your watch list. Add a few items and check back in a few days, to find out what sort of price to expect for it.
Once you’ve established what it’s worth, go ahead and list it, though you might want to set a reserve on the item to make sure it reaches the price you’re expecting.
Oh, one final thing, if you run your own WordPress blog, you might want to auction the item right off your blog. Just check out Wp Auctions for that.
If your trying to sell something big I would highly suggest craigslist. I’ve bought and sold tons of stuff on there. Set the price you want for it and you will get that price.
