Recently, when I put a CD in my computer’s drive it starts playing automatically. How do I stop it?

The feature that plays/runs things automatically is called Autoplay and this is how you configure it.

Click the Start button, type autoplay and press Enter. There is a dropdown menu for every different kind of disc or media type. You may even find entries for mobile phones and iPads at the bottom of the list.

Click on a menu and select a different option. Click the Save button to confirm the changes. There is a button labelled ‘Reset all defaults’ at the bottom of the screen if you want to reverse all the changes you have made.
