I’m really getting into playing games online and am really keen to explore MMORPGs. However I’m not interested in running around killing people (or getting killed). Anything you can recommend?

There are a few games around you can try, but the one I would point you at is called Glitch. It’s set in a whimsical world, with loads to explore and tons of fun people to meet. You also get to create any character you like, and dress him/her in anything you like, from a fancy dress, all the way to adult diapers. You get to milk butterflies, collect eggs from egg plants and a million other fun things. Here’s a short video of introduction:
