I’ve been using Microsoft Word 10 and found that it will add a horizontal line if a series of hyphens are typed. How can I clear these out?
One of the Autoformat options in Word 2010 is to insert a horizontal line when several hyphens are entered onto a line. If you didn’t want the line it can be tricky finding out how to delete it if you miss the Autoformat icon that briefly appears as there are no references to Horizontal line in the Ribbon.
In fact the horizontal line is a border line for the paragraph and so is easy to remove. Click on the arrow on the border icon in the Paragraph section of the Home tab on the Ribbon. Then click on No Border.
