I bought a 16GB card for my camera and it works great. However, when I stick it in my card reader it’s as if it isn’t there. The reader works fine with my old 1Gb card.  Any idea why?

I have a Wireless network at home using the router that my ISP gave me when I signed up for my broadband. It all works great when I’m close to the router which is downstairs next to my phone. It also works great in the bedrooms upstairs, but when I go to the attic (my office), my signal strength is very low and my connection keeps dropping. Is there any way I can fix this?
